CODE OF CONDUCT and MEDICAL RELEASE AUTHORIZATION:

CODE OF CONDUCT:
The Northwest Youth Football Organization is geared to provide an outlet for healthy activity and training under good leadership and positive community participation. It should help establish the rudiments of teamwork and fair play. For this purpose, the NWYF Board of Directors has instituted a
Code of Conduct to be followed by everyone involved in the League.

1. DO NOT criticize team players, or the opposing team’s players, coaches, or fans by word of mouth or by gesture.
2. Respect the judgment of the officials. Strive to make every football activity serve as a training ground for life and a basis for good mental and physical health.
3. Abusive or profane language directed towards anyone connected with the game is prohibited.
4. Emphasize that winning a game is a result of “teamwork”.
5. Let the coaches and officials do their jobs. Never question, discuss, or confront coaches at the game field. Document your concerns, and then speak with coaches regarding your concerns after 24 hours has elapsed.
6. The Game Official shall report to the League President, within 24 hours, after the end of the game, all violations of rules and other incidents worthy of comment, including disqualifications of any manager, coach, player or spectator and the reasons therefore.
7. Players, parents and guests will not engage in any kind of unsportsmanlike conduct with any official, coach, player, or parent such as booing, taunting, and refusing to shake hands, or using profane language or gestures.
8. Uphold all rules and regulations.
9. There will be no alcoholic beverages, tobacco products, or drugs allowed on the ground where Northwest Youth Football is to be played.

Persons found violating this Code during a game will be subject to ejection from that game by the League President or Board member on duty. The police will be contacted if necessary. Any coach, player, parent, or spectator ejected form a game is automatically suspended from that team’s next game. The penalty for
violating that suspension is automatic forfeit. Any person ejected from two games during the season will be suspended for the remainder of the season, unless reinstated by the Northwest Youth Football Board of Directors. If at any time the conduct of a manager, coach, player, parent, or spectator is determined
to be detrimental and/or contrary to the best interests of the League, the Northwest Youth Football Board of Directors retains the right to suspend that person from further participation of any kind, and for whatever period of time is deemed reasonable and proper by the Board. If a player is suspended due to any violations, they must participate in practice for a period of time determined by their coach before they can play in a game again.
